Avcılar-Beylikdüzü metrobüs line planned to open in mid-March due to expropriation transactions and learned that there will be a delay of two months
The Avcılar-Beylikdüzü metrobus line, which was built by the Metropolitan Municipality in order to ease public transportation by reducing traffic in Istanbul, extended to May. The line, which is planned to be opened on October 29, 2011, has been delayed due to expansions in the scope of road expansion and construction works. The contractor received an extension until 15 March for the opening date, which was withdrawn in February. However, asphalting, infrastructure and superstructure works of the 12 kilometers long line have not been completed yet. The project, where the return and triage works of Avcılar and Beylikdüzü could not be carried out, was delayed by 2 months due to adverse weather conditions. The asphalt pouring process for the lanes whose road work has already been completed has been completed and the manufacturing processes on the side road continue.
