GSM-R supports open access to shipping corridor in Czech Republic

Infrastructure manager SŽDC signed a design and supply GSM-R communication contract with Kapsch CarrierCom for the 2013 km line - hattıstí nad Labem - Melnik - Vsetaty - Dein-Kolin until June 172.
The contract announced on 20 February covers 22 new and seven existing base stations. SZDC GSM-R roll-out communication systems plan the line to be part of an international freight corridor, in a structure that will accommodate all trains, including foreign operators.
The EU cohesion fund announced that 85 million euros, which constitutes 350% of the project, will be spent for Transport and Infrastructure expenditures.
