Bursa-Ankara road will be breathing with renewed bridges

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality handled the Hacıvat, Balıklı and Deliçay bridges built in the 1960s as part of the construction of the eastern stage of BursaRay, which will provide great convenience in transportation. The municipality is making new ones by demolishing half a century old bridges. At the end of the work planned to be completed in a year, Bursa-Ankara road and transportation in the east of the city will be relieved.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to relieve the transportation of the city. Construction of BursaRay, one of the most important projects of Bursa, continues without slowing down. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Recep Altepe examined the demolition works on the oldest bridge on the road to Ankara, on the Hacıvat Creek Bridge. Pointing out that the works in all areas, especially the rail system, are continuing rapidly in order to make Bursa a more accessible city, President Altepe noted that the demolition works of 3 bridges to be renewed on the Ankara road within the eastern phase of BursaRay were also started.

In this context, as the Metropolitan Municipality, we make the construction of the bridges located on the route by adding an additional 20 million liras. ” said.

President Altepe reminded that the bridges on the Hacıvat, Deliçay and Balıklı streams on the Ankara Road should be renewed in order to make the 8-kilometer rail system east stage. Pointing out that these bridges built in the 1960s are quite old, outdated and worn out, Mayor Altepe said, “As Metropolitan Municipality, we wanted to start the renovation of the bridges as soon as possible in order not to waste time. Firstly, the destruction of the section of the oldest bridge on the route, Hacıvat Bridge, going from Ankara to Bursa was carried out. Then the sections of Deliçay and Balıklı bridges on the same route will be demolished and reconstructed. Then, the sections of the bridges in the direction of Bursa-Ankara will be renewed. In addition to the new bridges that will have 3 lanes going and 3 lanes coming, a double line bridge will be built for the rail system. ” he spoke.

Underlining that there will be no traffic disruption on the Ankara Road during the bridge works that will run in parallel with the construction of the rail system east stage, President Altepe noted that transportation will be provided through the Eastern Ring Road during the construction and the works will be completed in 1 year. Altepe pointed out that once the rail system and bridge constructions are completed, transportation on the Ankara road and east of the city will become much more comfortable and comfortable.
