New lines in Ankara subway 2.5 will be completed in the year

The Keçiören-Tandoğan Metro line, which is 9 thousand 220 meters long and consists of 9 stations, is 41 percent completed. The metro line with Atatürk Cultural Center, Aski, Dışkapı, Municipality, Mecidiye, Kuyubaşı, Dutluk and Gazino stops will cost 274 million 634 thousand TL and the said line will be completed in 2.5 years.

Making the opening speech of the signing ceremony, Minister Yıldırım stated that the works on Keçiören-Tandoğan Metro will start after the site delivery is made within a couple of weeks and said, “After that, our other two metro lines Kızılay-Çayyolu and Sincan lines will be activated. Their tenders have also taken place, we will sign their contracts next week. Thus, works on all 3 metro lines will be started simultaneously ”.

Expressing that the tender process for a total of 324 vehicles for metro vehicles is continuing, Yıldırım announced that bids will be received until mid-February. “If everything goes well, we aim to put these subways into service if we do not experience any emergency or force majeure,” said Yıldırım, “But you will appreciate that when working underground, some unforeseen situations may arise. Therefore, we are aware of this. That is why we will work day and night, non-stop ”.
