Ruz Soyuz spacecraft was taken into service after the malfunction in October. "All the damaged parts of Soyuz TMA 20 were replaced and brought to the Baikonur Space Base in Kazakhstan after the last checks," said Anatoly Perminov, head of the Russian National Space agency Roscosmos.
Soyuz TMA 20 spacecraft will perform its new space mission to the International Space Station with a team of Russian Dmitry Kondratyev, American Catherine Coleman and European Paolo Nespoli. Soyuz TMA 10, which completes its 20th year and will take astronauts to the International Space Station, a multinational study, will be the only connection of the station to the earth with the termination of the American Space Shuttle program from next year.
