"Eximbank Supports" Information Meeting online with the participation of Eximbank Regional Manager Gülom Timurhan and Eximbank experts EGİAD made with the organisation. Eximbank Regional Manager Gülom Timurhan, who provided information about Eximbank's corporate structure, export loans, insurance activities and other derivative products, also answered the questions of the participants.

Development of exports, diversification of exported goods and services, gaining new markets for exported goods, increasing the share of exporters in international trade, providing necessary support in their initiatives, providing competitiveness and assurance to exporters and investors in international markets, investments to be made abroad and production and sales of investment goods for export purposes. Türk Eximbank, which operates to support and encourage it, was the guest of the Aegean Young Business People Association.

Making the opening speech of the meeting EGİAD President Alp Avni Yelkenbiçer stated that sustainable exports are of great importance in a rapidly changing world, facing various problems in a range from climate change to socioeconomic inequality, and said, “We think that we should consider all economic, environmental, social, managerial, financial and non-financial risks when exporting. Due to disruptions in global supply chains, countries' desire to protect their supply security continues to accelerate the regional supply chain trend. In this direction, our country is a strong candidate to be a regional production base with its geographical proximity to Europe, technological and logistics infrastructure, trained workforce and, unfortunately, a very suitable investment environment in foreign currency terms. After listing all these strategic developments, it is one of the recipes for getting back on track in terms of exports and especially value-added exports," he said.

EGİAD Reminding that 60% of its members are directly or indirectly involved in exports, Yelkenbiçer said, “Eximbank, on the one hand, meets the business and investment financing needs of exporters, on the other hand, ensures that our exporters continue their activities by protecting them from collection and market risk with receivables insurance and derivative products. On the other hand, I believe it will be another important factor that will increase our exports for 2022. İGE AŞ aims to produce solutions by providing surety support to exporting SMEs that have difficulties in creating loan guarantees. Last year, Eximbank's support for the country's exports reached 46,1 billion dollars. We have a target of having a foreign trade surplus, and we must act in this direction by supporting exporting SMEs and ensuring that exports are extended to the base.”

EGİAD General Secretary Prof. Dr. At the event moderated by Fatih Dalkılıç, Eximbank Regional Manager Gülom Timurhan stated that they aim to provide 50 billion dollars of insurance and credit support to exporters this year and that they announced a 22 billion dollar package as İGE AŞ. We aim to support them more with communication and services. We are the largest Credit Insurance company. We care about this. Our goal is to support them by enabling them to expand into new countries while providing Credit Insurance.

Afterwards, Hüseyin Egemen Kılıç and Selma Altundis made a detailed presentation on products and services.
