Yapi Merkezi wins Casablanca Line 2 contract :Yapi Merkezi was constructed Line 1 of Casablanca LRT which is opened in 2012. Line was tendered recently and four other bidders were Makyol, Turkey; two French-Moroccan Consortium of Colas Rail, Colas Morocco and GTR, and TSO with Société General des Travaux; and a Portuguese-Moroccan Consortium of Somafel and Seprob. CASA Transport awarded Turkish Yapi Merkezi, 83 M EUR contract to construct the 14.6 km Line 2 of the Casablanca light rail network following an international tender in which four other groups participated.

Alstom was awarded a 100 M EUR contract in 2015 to supply a fleet of 50 Citadis low-floor LRVs for Line 2. Casablanca Line 2 will have 20 stations and construction is expected to take 2,5 years. It will then take over the western branch of Line 1 from Boulevard Anoual to Ain Diab to create a 22.5km line.
