- The bridge was seen from space: The construction phase of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge was displayed step by step by the satellite of TUBITAK.
The last floor of the bridge in 2013 was laid 10 days ago and Asia and Europe joined the 3 for the third time in the Bosphorus.
The photographs taken from the RASAT satellite of TÜBİTAK include the time taken from the basic step of the bridge to the moment the last deck was placed. In the photos, the progress in the construction of the ring roads along with the bridge is clearly seen. The foundation of the 3 bridge built by the IC ICTAS Astaldi Consortium was laid on 29 May 2013.
The source of the last deck of the bridge was made by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Binali Yıldırım in 6 March 2016 and Asia and Europe converged for the third time on the Bosphorus.
