The World’s Third Largest Exhibition Is In Istanbul :Having the characteristic of being the 3rd largest rolling stock exhibition in its field, “The Eurasia Rail: 5th International Rolling Stock, Infrastructure and Logistics Exhibition” started at Istanbul Expo Center.

In the opening, the ribbon was collectively cut by Lütfi Elvan, Minister of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications; Mehmet Hamdi Yıldırım, Deputy Undersecretary of Minister of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications acting on behalf of General Directory of Turkish State Railways; Jean-Pierre Loubinoux, Director General of The International Union of Railways (UIC); François Begeot, Undersecretariat of Delegation of EU to Turkey; and Korhan Yazgan, Chairman of the Executive Board of Türkel Fair Organization.
Having been organized by Türkel Fair Organization and officially supported by T.R Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Turkish State Railways, TÜVASAŞ (Turkish Wagon Industry Inc.), TÜDEMSAŞ (Turkish Railway Machines Industry Inc.), TÜLOMSAŞ (Turkish Locomotive and Engine Industry Inc.), KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization), and TOBB (Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges) since 2011; the exhibition was established in an area of 18.000 m2.
In addition, huge stands have been opened by large companies such as Siemens, Alstom, Ulaşım A.Ş., Skoda, ABB, Vossloh, Knorr Bremse, Bombardier, Aselsan, Hisarlar, Durmazlar, Savronik, SchneiderElectric, Huawei, Ansaldo, Talgo, CAF. And also Bozankaya Company exhibited its electric bus for the first time in this exhibition this year.
To visit the exhibition; international senior officials such as Minister of Transportation of Republic of Serbia Mr. Nedjo Trininic, Executive Director of Europe & Africa of Deutsche Bahn of Germany Mr. Benoit Schmitt, Executive Director of Railway Administration Executive Agency of Bulgaria Mr. Veselin Vasilev, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Czech Railways Mr. Ludvik Urban, General Director of State Railways of Democratic Republic of Georgia Mr. Mamuka Bakhtadze, General Director of Bosnia-Herzegovina State Railways Mr. Nijaz Puzic, General Manager of Regulatory Unit of Kosovo Railway Authority Mr. Enis Berisha, Deputy General Manager of Jordan Hejaz Railways Mr. Abdullah Malkawi, General Manager of Investment and International Relations of Iran State Railways Mr. Abbas Nazari and General Manager of State Railways of Romania Mr. Ioan Tarnita also participated in the exhibition.
Mr. Korhan Yazgan, Chairman of The Board of the Türkel Fair Organization, stated that “Eurasia Rail” exhibition also became prominent with the conference and seminar programs and said: “The exhibition hosting the prominent names in the public and private sector, has the ability to collect the important developments in the sector, the latest technology, the introduction of new products, large companies and institutions on a single platform in Istanbul. This exhibition is the most serious meeting platform of the sector in Eurasia. This exhibition offers innovation and services in the world relating to the railway, light rail systems, infrastructure and railway logistic issues to the sector, and conferences and seminars conducted simultaneously with the exhibition provide an insight to the companies in the sector for the position that they will get in the future. One of the conference topics of this year is ‘Vehicle technology of High Speed Rail and problems encountered’ with ‘Regional cooperation opportunities in infrastructure’”.
The exhibition will stay open until 7th March 2015 between the hours of 10:00 to 18:00 at Istanbul Expo Center in Yeşilköy.
