Spain – Zaragoza New High Speed Train Station (Video)

Spain – Zaragoza New High Speed Train Station :Zaragoza sets almost half way between Barcelona and Madrid so it is not surprising that it has become a stop on the high speed network being build to connect the two cities. Right now you can take the AVE train from Madrid to Zaragoza in just one in a half hours. When the high speed train rails are completed you will be able to go to Barcelona, from Zaragoza in about one and a half hours. These travel times mean Zaragoza can now be visited as a day trip from Madrid and soon from Barcelona.

As we were traveling by car during this portion of the trip we did not have an opportunity to test out the train station from the perspective of a user. Never the less, the station seem to be will laid out and should not unduly confuse the train traveler. The train station’s Information Center and the ticket windows are clearly marked in Spanish and English.

As a side note – if I had the option of visiting Zaragoza by train rather than by car, I would have definitely arrive by train. Zaragoza is a good size city with a good deal of traffic. We were not familiar with the city and if it wasn’t for our translator, and our cell phone, (the translator provide continues directions to us while we negotiated the city) I do not know if we would have ever found our hotel.
