First high speed train in Africa

First high speed train in Africa :The first high speed rail line opened for passengers. The line is between Tangier and Casablanca in Morocco. The lenght of line is about 350 km. With this high speed trains, journey time between cities cutted two hours and it is expected to carry 10 million passenger in a year.

National railway operator (ONCF) explained that, next three decades we are planning to open about 1500 km rail line for high speed. They are planning that this line will be more useful than planes.

The line has 14 trains which each can carry 533 passengers. Also European Rail Traffic management system will be responsible for signalisation.
Before this line, many lines planned for high speed trains but none of them took shape. It is the first high speed rail line in Africa.
