Nigeria announces a consultancy tender for a feasibility study on rail lines :A tender is announced by Nigeria’s Ministry of Transport, for consultancy on conducting a feasibility study related to the construction of a total of six planned railway lines, which add up to over 4000 km.

The lines will be standard gauge lines. The feasibility study, which is estimated to cost about 8 million US$, will include reviewing the lines to confirm feasibility of the planned six rail projects, conduct an environmental impact assessment for each, and identify the station location together with business and economic activities along the corridors.
