The tender of Ankara High Speed Train Station was approved

Binali Yıldırım, the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications has approved the tender for Ankara High Speed Train Station. The tender was won by the Limak-Kolin-Cengiz Joint Venture Group.

According to the terms of the contract that is about to be signed the construction period of the project is 2 years.

The train station will have space features, namely it will look like a space object. The train station will be built on an area of 21 thousand 600 square meters. It will have a capacity of 50 thousand passengers per day, and 15 million passengers per year. The station will also have restaurants and cafes, as well as a parking area for 3 thousand vehicles. The second floor of the station will be a 5 stars hotel.

Additional to the existent rail lines, there will be built a set of rail lines for a capacity of 12 high speed train capable of handling 6 trains with 420 meters length, 4 conventional and 2 commuter trains.
