The first national railway signaling system in Turkey will be implemented in Denizli by the joint collaboration of TCDD and TUBITAK

One of the most significant advances in recent years in Turkey represents the rail transport signaling systems. The works for this project began in 2009 and it has been successfully completed. Now it will be implemented in Denizli city. The project is a join collaboration of the Turkish State Railways TCDD and TUBITAK, with the contribution of Istanbul Technical University. After the opening of the local signaling system in Buharkent, other stations will be opened as well.

A 100% domestic production

The railway signaling system was developed by Turkish engineers; therefore the costs were significantly lower as there is not export dependence. At the moment in Turkey out of the existent 12 thousand kilometers of railways, only 3 thousand kilometers of railway line has a signaling system. The existent signaling system was implemented by the foreign companies. Signaling system is used in each of these lines would be built by foreign companies.
