The Ankara – Istanbul High Speed Train Line and Marmaray will be opened on 29th October

Binali Yıldırım, the Minister of Transport and Communication of Turkey has announced that the  Ankara – Istanbul High Speed Train Line and at the same time Marmaray Project will on 29 October this year.

Binali Yıldırım together with Ercan Topaca, the governor of Kocaeli has visited the construction site of CR3 Marmaray in Gebze. During the visit they had a meeting with the representatives of the Contractor Company and officials from the Ministry. After this visit, Binali Yıldırım went to Bilecik in order to check the works regarding the High Speed Train.

In his speech the Minister of Transport emphasized that Gebze represents a point where Marmaray Project and Ankara – Istanbul High Speed Rail Line intersects. Besides this, the Ministry has the intention to make a rail line from Gebze to Pendik. He also added that the Ministry collaborates closely with the contractor company and the other amenable officials in order to finish all the works regarding the two projects so that it could be launched on October 29.
