Saudi Rail Forum 01 – 03 December, 2013 – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia : Saudi Arabia has embarked on one of the most ambitious railway development plans of the modern railway era. As set out in the Saudi Railway Master Plan (SRMP), Saudi Arabia will invest 365 billion SAR between 2010 and 2040 into railway infrastructure.

With 63 billion SAR (approximately $17 billion) to be invested between 2010 and 2025, the vision is to develop and maintain an advanced and integrated multimodal transport system to support economic growth in the Kingdom. In addition to this, Saudi Arabia will invest in multiple metro transport projects to address traffic and public transport challenges. The most notable of these include Jeddah, Riyadh and Mecca which will all break ground between 2013 and 2014.

Forming part of Transport IQ’s global transport series, the Saudi Rail Forum 2013 will bring together local and international rail and transport specialists from 1 – 3 December 2013 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
