Romania’s Govt. turned down all the bids submitted for the privatization of CFR Marfa-Sources

Romania’s Transport Ministry’s Privatization Commission turned down all the three bids submitted for the privatization of rail freight company CFR Marfa, sources from the institution informed, Agerpres reported.

The bids opening procedure followed by the offers’ assessment were to be completed by May 15. The announcement of the investor(s) shortlisted for participating in the next stages of the tender was supposed to be made on May 15.

The companies that submitted bids for the acquisition of a 51 pct stake in the National Rail Freight Company CFR Marfa ‘were OmniTRAX Inc. (US), Grup Feroviar Roman and the association Transferoviar Group – Donau-Finanz GMBH.
