Raje starts reviewing last govt’s projects .JAIPUR: Chief minister Vasundhara Raje started taking review of the key projects of each department. On Monday she held a meeting with the health department officials and took stock of the free medicine scheme. Discussions over refinery and metro are likely to happen on Friday.

According to officials, all concerned department heads have already been asked to submit their presentations to chief secretary C S Rajan. In addition, Raje is focusing on review of major projects initiated by the last government. Sources said next in the pipeline are Jaipur metro and refinery at Pachpadra.

“The aim of these meetings is to understand the major schemes of the department, and progress made on them so far. Each department has been asked to prepare list of key projects which will be presented before the CM,” said a senior official.

The Raje also wants to get an idea of how many tenders of big projects were floated in past six months and whether they were done as per the norms or any guidelines were flouted, said another source.

While reviewing, the main focus will remain on big tickets projects like refinery and Jaipur metro. Raje is likely to evaluate the reasons for the delay in Jaipur metro. Earlier, she has raised her concern over the elevated tracks. It is likely she will review the plans for the next phases. Despite having completed all formalities, the refinery has to get a final go-ahead. HPCL, which is the major stakeholder, is also likely to meet CM in coming days.
