Putin: Moscow-Kazan railway should be extended up to Krasnoyarsk :Vladimir Putin, the Russian President has evaluated the Moscow-Kazan railway project and decided that the project should be extended up to the city of Krasnoyarsk.
At the meeting about the high speed rail trains, Vladimir Putin has presented his opinion about the project, by mentioning that this project represents maybe the first step regarding the construction of railway lines.
The railway line will have a length of 803 km with a total worth of 928 billion Russian rubles.
After the construction of the railway the travel distance between Moscow and Kazan will be decreased from 11,5 hours to 3,5 hours.
According to data given by the Russian State Railways the number of passengers in 2019 will reach 7,4 million.
