PCL Construction starting work on $383M Seattle light-rail project : A unit of Denver-based PCL Construction Enterprises Inc. is starting work Friday on a $383.2 million project to extend the Seattle area’s light rail system south of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

On Wednesday, Sound Transit, the agency that operates the system, released a 3-D animation that shows how trains will operate on the 1.6-mile elevated guideway between the airport and the Angle Lake station in the city of SeaTac, Wash.

PCL Civil Constructors Inc. is designing and building the project.

PCL’s worldwide headquarters is in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
