Australia’s largest logistics enterprise purchases six CSR locomotive

CSR Locomotive Co., Ltd. CSR Ziyang received an advance payment from Qube Logistics, Australia, validating the purchase contract for six AC diesel engines. It is the third time for the company to join hands with an Australian customer after winning the contracts from SCT and BRADKEN in 2010 and 2011 respectively. CSR AC diesel engines have become a favorite of the Australian rail transit equipment market.

Qube is Australia”s largest general import and export logistics service provider that offers a wide range of services nationwide and was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2011. On January 31, the company signed a purchase contract with CSR Ziyang for six AC diesel engines in Sydney.

CSR has been favored by the Australian customers for its outstanding product quality. Since going into operation in Australia in late February 2012, CSR Ziyang”s first batch of six diesel engines have accomplished the task of towing cargo with a net weight of not less than 8,000 tons per time. By late December 2012, the six locomotives had run over 800,000 kilometers, with a traction mileage of over 100,000 kilometers per unit, fully demonstrating their high operation reliability. The second batch of six locomotives has arrived in Australia and is expected to go into operation in late March.

Sources said the newly ordered six locomotives are scheduled to be delivered to Australia at the end of this year.
