Serbia: the future ZS Group will have four subsidiaries

Zelenice Srbije/Serbian Railways (ZS) is the state owned rail company in Serbia, responsible for rail infrastructure and operations. The railway sector in Serbia is currently in the midst of a wide-ranging reform programme.  A key component in the reform programme, the restructuring of ZS, has been progressing with a transition structure in place, and the transformation of the company from a Public Enterprise into a closed Joint Stock Company. The next stage of the restructuring is to transform the existing vertically-integrated entity into a holding structure with separated infrastructure and operating companies under the JSC Holding Company.  The future ZS Group will have four subsidiaries: Infrastructure Manager responsible for the provision of rail infrastructure; Freight Company responsible for rail freight operations; Passenger Company responsible for passenger rail operations; Railway Asset Management Company responsible for surplus assets.

The JSC Holding Company will be responsible for strategic direction, alongside monitoring performance and overseeing financial performance of the group.

This assignment will support the restructuring of ZS and the development of new commercial functions in the group, including identifying opportunities for commercial property development. The anticipated start date for the assignment is January 2013 with an estimated duration of 12 months. Maximum Budget available for the Assignment is EUR 400,000, exclusive of VAT.
