Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan initiate project on the set up of the United Transport and Logistics Company

Documents needed for establishment of the United Transport and Logistics Company (UTLC) are to be prepared and submitted to the governments of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus by the end of the year, Russian President Vladimir Yakunin announced.

Answering the question about the increase in the number of participants in the project, he said that was possible if a potential participant would recognize the principles, on which the transport and logistics system of the Common Economic Space (CES) was based, and the objectives of the UTLC creation.

To remind, in May 2012, Russian Railways, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, and Belarusian Railways signed the Memorandum on development of the transport and logistics system of the CES. Then, at the meeting of prime ministers of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhsyan, held in St Petersburg on June 15, 2012, the launch of United Transport and Logistics Company was supported. The Russian party has already developed the draft action plan of the UTLC creation and given it to the Belarusian Railways and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
