InnoTrans 2012 will be starting on 18 September. Over 2,500 exhibitors – more than half of them from abroad – will be presenting the latest advanced technology for the rail sector on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, where all available display space will be occupied. Numerous world premieres and innovative products for safe and sustainable transport of the future will be on display under the slogan “The Future of Mobility”. Messe Berlin expects this hi-tech show to attract around 100,000 trade visitors from all over the world.

Opening Ceremony of InnoTrans 2012

Tuesday, 18 September 2012, 10 a.m., Palais am Funkturm

The opening ceremony of InnoTrans 2012 will commence at 10 a.m. on 18 September at the Palais am Funkturm. Over 1,000 leading representatives of business, research and politics from Germany and abroad are expected to attend. Among those taking part will be Siim Kallas, Vice President of the European Commission, and Dr. Peter Ramsauer, Federal Minister of Transport, Construction and Urban Development. The subject of this year’s panel discussion is “Innovations & Growth – Global Growth Potential for Rail Transport”.

There will be an opening tour at 12 noon that start right after the opening ceremony.
