InterRail and CRIMT cooperate for Uzbekistan-China transport services

InterRail Trans Siberian Express Ltd., the Russian subsidiary of railway transport of InterRail Holding AG (Switzerland), has signed an agreement with China Railway International Multimodal Transport (CRIMT) for the coordination of its rail freight transport in Uzbekistan. CRIMT is a subsidiary of China Railway Container Transport Corp., specialised in international containerised transport activities.

The logistics hub for the project will be Chukursay station in Tashkent, on the terminal owned by Shoshtrans, of which InterRail is the largest shareholder. The Uzbek team of InterRail will optimise the use of the rolling stock and containers between Uzbekistan and China to help CRIMT save money.
