Freight One doubles freight transport volume

In the first half of 2012, cargo transportation in railcars managed by Freight One amounted to 82.8 million tonnes, twice as much as in the same period of 2011. The company’s cargo turnover increased almost threefold and reached 184.5 million tonne-kilometres.

The significant increase was caused by the expansion of the client portfolio, but also after Freight One started to manage its fleet of gondola wagons, which had been given earlier to RZD in the framework of agent agreement.

The fleet managed by Freight One grew to 171,000 railcars in Q2 2012 representing a share in the total fleet on RZD’s network of 15.3%.
