Czech Republic interested in Pakistan’s railways

A delegation of Czech Middle-Asian Chamber of Commerce (CSOK) met Minister for Railways Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and expressed interest to invest in the rail sector of Pakistan for its uplift.

Pakistan’s railway sector needs huge investment and also has the potential to give positive outcome in future if its shortcomings are addressed, declared the General Mangers Operations of Pakistan Railways, Junaid Qureshi.
The Czech Republic could invest in rehabilitation of tracks, railway bridges, maintenance and purchase of locomotives. Another interesting project could be the planned Peshawar-Jalalabad track.

The Czech delegation has confirmed its intention to help Pakistan Railways to get back on track and the country’s interest to participate in the Peshawar-Jalalabad line project.
