Colas Rail Ltd acquires Pullman Rail Ltd

Colas Rail Ltd, a subsidiary of Colas Rail in Great Britain, has acquired Pullman Rail Ltd, an engineering company specialized in rail vehicle maintenance in the United Kingdom.

Based in Cardiff, Pullman Rail Ltd posted revenue figures totaling 13 million euros in 2011 and employs a workforce of 140.

This acquisition significantly advances Colas Rail Ltd’s current capability to maintain its rail fleet and enables it to further expand into the rail vehicle maintenance market for train owners and train operators.

The Colas Group is a leader in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure for transport, urban development and recreational facilities. With 66,000 employees throughout more than 800 works centers and 1,400 materials production sites (aggregates, emulsion, bitumen, asphalt mix) in nearly 50 countries on five continents, the Group carries out some 110,000 projects each year.

In 2011, Colas posted 12.4 billion euros of consolidated revenue (42% outside of France). The Group share of net profit amounted to 336 million euros.
