China and Turkey interested in Tunisia’s transport infrastructure

The representatives of MNG companies (Turkey) and SINOMACH International (China) have met with the Minister of Transport in Tunisia, Abdelkarim Harouni, to discuss about the transport infrastructure development opportunities.

Tunisia wants to develop the railway network for both passenger and freight transport. Another project is that of a 800-km long high-speed line connecting Algeria and Libya via Tunisia.

SINOMACH International’s president has expressed interest in investing into Tunisia’s railway projects and ensure financing for infrastructure projects. MNG representatives have also been optimistic about the Turkish-Tunisian cooperation in transportation.
