Bulgaria: Varna opens first Mobility Centre

The first Mobility Centre in Varna was inaugurated on 16 May. The Centre was developed within the Project Mobility Management in South-Eastern Europe.

The project is financed under the Operational Program for Transnational Cooperation 2007 – 2013 and benefits from EU funds of EUR 1.4 Million.

The Mobility Centre is developed in partnership with Greece, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

The budget allocated to Varna is of EUR 101,000, 15% of the funds coming from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.

The employees of the centre will provide information of transport networks, ticket prices, parking lots, price of trips for tourists and other information for tourists. At a later stage, the centre will be able to sell tickets for air and road transport.
