Bratislava tests new tram

Bratislava (Slovakia) has begun the tests for a new Bombardier Flexity. Tests will last up to June 20. The 100% low-floor tram is equipped with air-conditioning and is one of the series to be delivered to the transport company in the city.
The vehicle arrived in April and is submitted to tests which require homologation.

The Mayor of the City of Bratislava, Dr. Milan Ftáčnik, said: “The new trams provide us with the opportunity to show the citizens of Bratislava how comfortable, smooth and energy efficient public transport on modern, low-floor trams could be. We consider the further development and increase in rail transport in our city a key part of the solution to the traffic problems in our city.”
